The Catana 50 designed by Christophe Barreau and built by Catana in France. Awarded best Cruising Multihull at the 2008 Cruising World Boat of the Year Awards. The Catana 50 is one of the most prestigious performance cruising catamarans of its generation: vacuum-infused foam sandwich construction reinforced with carbon and aramid fibers, daggerboards for true upwind capability, and two aft helm stations. The mast and the boom are being painted—the new standing rigging, new batteries, new 8 pax life raft, the total amount of these expenses amounts to € 50,000.
