The Albin Cumulus 8.5 is a classic 28-foot Swedish cruiser-racer sailboat designed by Peter Norlin and built by Albin Marin between 1978 and 1985is and is an ideal first boat or for downsizers. Description

Construction

Built using traditional 1970s fibre reinforced plastic hull multiple lay up construction techniques in polyester. Chopped strand mat glass fibre has been used for the majority of the hull with woven glass fibre for additional strength in loaded areas with preformed frames and stringers.

The deck and cabin roof is a grp sandwich moulding with increased lay-up, bolts and oversize washers, and backing plates for attaching heavy fittings.

She is Fin keel with transom hung rudder.

Uses a simple and practical layout with traditional oiled teak trim and exposed fiberglass elements.

Includes a functional galley area and a separate marine head/toilet compartment

Galley with Bainbridge 4500 2 burner cooker with oven. Sink with manual foot pump and coolbox.

Toilet with marine sea toilet and folding wash hand basin. The toilet can be shut off from the main cabin via a door and curtain to the forward cabin.
