The Hans Christian 33T (HC33T) was designed by Harwood Ives and built by Hans Christian Yachts. Like all Hans Christians, Re Metau is a well-built double-ender, solid and comfortable at sea. The cockpit is safe, and the boat can easily be sailed single handed. She is the one double Pullman berth version midships with a large aft storage cupboard and large nav station towards the stern.  This timeless classic is extremely well equipped with everything you need for full time cruising; featuring Yanmar engine with low hours, sails and rigging replaced, arch with dinghy davits and raised cockpit seats, Spectra water-maker, 2019 dinghy and outboard and more. She is in need of a little cosmetic attention and offers a great opportunity for a DIYer to get one of these sort after boats at a heavily reduced price.

Accommodations
There is full standing (6.1ft) headroom and good ventilation throughout via large overhead hatches, bronze opening portholes, dorade vents with stainless cowls, and a wide companionway – all screened. Forward is the enclosed anchor locker. Aft of this locker is the head with an electric toilet with new macerator & pump. The separate shower stall and single stainless-steel sink vanity with marble countertop both have pressurised hot and cold water. Aft of this is a Queen-sized Pullman berth lies to port with reading lights, bookshelves, oil lamp, drawers and locker storage beneath.  The 2 bins beneath the berth are large enough to stow spare sails and much, much, more.  Separate hanging lockers and more drawer storage lies to starboard. Further aft in the saloon is an L shaped settee with fixed dinette, and another long settee to starboard that can quickly convert into a bunk bed. Everything has stowage behind and beneath, and additional shelving. Located to port at the foot of the companionway is the galley, equipped with a 3-burner gimbled stove and oven, a double stainless-steel sink, also with pressurised hot and cold water, and refrigerator with large freezer box. Massive amounts of practical storage continues via numerous drawers, lockers, and cabinets. The navigation station is to starboard with storage below the chart table. The bulk of the electrical systems equipment are concealed in a sizable equipment locker located aft of the bulkhead where the electrical panel is mounted. The engine is located under the companionway steps.

Mechanical Systems
A Yanmar 3JH5E 39hp engine, with dual Racor fuel filters, was installed new in 2016, and less than 400 hrs. It has been regularly serviced, the last of which was at the end of 2021. Shaft transmission drives a 3 bladed fixed bronze prop. In 2020, a dripless PSS shaft seal and a new cutlass bearing was installed.

Construction
Built in Taiwan by Hans Christian Yachts Re Metau is solid fiberglass with fully encapsulated iron keel with keel hung rudder. The hull was last anti-fouled in July 2020. Re Metau has a number of small blisters on her hull and her teak decks need attention. 

Registration
ReMetau has a USA Registration and there are no known outstanding mortgages or encumbrances
