The Sole Bay 35 is a rugged motor sailor ideal for comfortable cruising in a northern climate.  This good example has been well looked after for many years and has recently had a cosmetic refit to bring her back to her present excellent condition.  A beautiful classic design which will attract admirers wherever she goes.

Accommodation
The layout offers up to five berths with one double sleeping cabin separate from the main accommodation.  The forepeak is a separate heads compartment with electric sea toilet and washbasin.  In the saloon, two settee berths.  Fixed table with drop leaf.  Galley to port with stainless steel sink drainer and pressurised hot and cold water supply.  364 litre freshwater capacity in two tanks.  Plastimo two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven opposite.  Steps up to wheelhouse.  Helm position to port with sliding doors to deck both sides.  Settee berth to starboard.  Steps down to aft cabin.  Two single berths.  Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin.  Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating.


Mechanical Systems
Located under the wheelhouse, BMC Tempest Leyland Commodore four cylinder 66hp diesel engine.  Electric start.  Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger.  Shaft drive to three bladed propeller.  Single lever control.  364 litre fuel capacity in two tanks.  Fuel consumption is 5.7 litres per hour at 7 knot cruising speed, so approximately 450 mile range.

Construction
Built in 1968 by Porter & Haylett, Wroxham to a design by Francis Jones.  Carvel Iroko planking on Oak frames.  Sawn timber floors with some galvanised strap floors.  Cascover sheathed below the waterline.  Varnished mahogany toe rail.  Cascover sheathed marine plywood deck with non-slip deck paint.  Painted marine plywood superstructure with varnished Mahogany coamings.  Long keel with external cast iron ballast with galvanised bolts.  Transom and keel hung rudder.  Wheel steering.  Bronze portlights throughout with aluminium framed glazing to wheelhouse.
